Club Teams Knockout offers national stage

June 12, 2025

The ABF’s annual Club Teams Knockout kicks off on 22 July and is already attracting plenty of interest.

In its fourth year, the Knockout is played online using RealBridge over five Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm.

The event is great for club teams wanting to compete on the national stage.

There are five divisions, ensuring a challenging and fair game across U50, U100, U300, U750 and Open categories. Cash prize money is on offer for each division.

Anyone from an Australian bridge club is eligible to play and each club may enter one team. To help clubs get a team together, unlimited substitutes are allowed. There are also gold points on offer.

Competition evenings occur one Tuesday per month, starting 22 July and finishing 26 November. Two qualifying rounds take place in the first two meetings on 22 July and 19 August. The top 8 teams in each division will then play a quarter final knockout on 23 September with the winners playing a semifinal knockout on 28 October. The remaining 2 teams will play a final on 25 November. Teams that are knocked out play in a consolation match.

The cost is $200 per team, and includes a free Realbridge practice session on request.
