Congress brochure for new players

October 10, 2025

With just over a week to go until the 2025 Sydney Spring Nationals (18–26 October), Bridge NSW has created a brand-new Congress Tips Brochure to help players who are new to congress play.

The foldable, pocket-sized brochure explains what to expect, how to prepare, and how to get the most out of your first congress. It’s designed for players taking that exciting step from club sessions to state-level play — and for clubs to share with members who might be ready to give a congress a go.

Download the brochure by clicking here.

This year’s Spring Nationals has great events for developing players, including:

  • 🧩 Teams and Pairs events for Novice, Restricted, Intermediate and Open levels

  • 🎯 Three 1-day Pairs events for players over and under 300 Masterpoints

  • 🌟 Mini-Monday (20 October) – a friendly introduction to congress play with a talk, 27 boards, lunch and an expert review, all for just $30 per person!

It’s not too late to register for events on MyABF here: https://www.myabf.com.au/events/congress/view/2592.

Be sure to make payment before your event starts.
