The ABF Masterpoint Scheme allows state bridge associations to run State Championship events in many categories.
Bridge NSW organises the State Pairs, State Teams, State Mixed Pairs, State Mixed Teams, State Youth Pairs & Teams, and Teams of Three.
Clubs may apply to host any of the additional championships listed in the table at the bottom of this webpage.
Complete and submit a State Championship application form here.
Bridge NSW encourages all NSW clubs to apply to host State Championship events.
In doing so, Bridge NSW aims to:
- Increase inclusion and participation, providing access to State Championships to players of all experience levels
- Contribute to the entire NSW bridge community
- Increase overall participation in State Championships
- Avoid direct competition with its member clubs
In addition, please note that State Championships:
- Must abide by the Events Policy stated in the Bridge NSW Limited By-Laws
- Can be face-to-face or online (RealBridge)
- Qualify for red masterpoints
- Must be managed through MyABF
- Must be promoted to include all players from Bridge NSW member clubs such as by including a flyer in our newsletter Bridging NSW
- May be jointly hosted by two or more clubs to increase participation
- Will be eligible to be hosted by any club(s) each year
