    Improver 1 Lessons: reinforce beginner lesson material and broaden bidding knowledge

    Improver 3 Lessons: look to broaden knowledge and introduce various common conventions (including Bidding to Slam and Competitive Bidding streams)

Supervised Sessions Hands

To help beginners grow in confidence and knowledge, Supervised Sessions are a good way forward. Here are some deal files and hand analysis that clubs can use in these sessions. Tips on running a Supervised Session

Set # is the analysis of the hand. Click on Deal File to download .pbn file. (With your help we can improve and add extra hands – education@bridgensw.com.au)

• Basic files do not include any conventions
• Overcalls / Takeouts Xs will include some basic type hands and some Overcalls and Takeout Doubles
• Stayman / Transfers will have a mixture of the above and some Stayman / Transfer hands
• Pre-emptive / Strong may contain hands of all the conventions listed above
• Themed are hands on a specific topic

Improver 1…

Here we look to reinforce all the ideas taught in the beginner lessons so that each individual starts to play with confidence. Bridge NSW offers the following material:

• further lessons to cover bidding conventions they are likely to encounter in a regular club session (eg preemptive, strong openings and Blackwood/RKCB)
• supervised lessons using Bridge NSW set hands
• give a Bridge NSW mini lesson before a club session

Quiz is an interactive Quiz for Declarer Play. Submit Response then View Score to see answers.

Hands gives an analysis for each hand in the Deal File. It also has hands in the Student Notes if the teacher wishes to demonstrate at the table
