Online Pairs League
The Online Pairs League (OPL) runs throughout the year on Monday nights on the RealBridge platform. It is played in four seasons of eight weeks with some skips to avoid major events (see table for details). You play twelve boards each night starting at 7:30pm, making it ideal for busy people.
The entry fee is $50 per person. The youth 50% discount applies, as does a 50% discount for players with less than 100 masterpoints. Players with less than 300 masterpoints will receive a rebate of $10. A substitute player or whole pair can fill in for up to three of the eight weeks.
A tighter contest
The OPL is designed for players of all levels. It is a State event that awards red masterpoints. Your pair is ranked into a Division of 16 Pairs providing competition at a similar level whether you are a novice, intermediate, or expert player. You can also get promoted (or relegated) to an appropriate Division independent of the masterpoints you happen to have.
Improve your bridge game
On RealBridge you can compare your bidding and play against:
- others in your Division;
- players in higher or lower Divisions; and
- double dummy and alternative lines of play.
This provides an excellent platform for you, your partner, your teammates, your mentor, or others to review, coach, and improve your play.
