The secret to a successful congress is planning. Planning your congress starts up to 18 months in advance when you choose the dates and venue and apply for the congress. The plan needs to cover all the details all the way up to when you’ve vacated the venue, submitted the masterpoints, and written up your congress report.
Bridge NSW has adapted the Guide to Organising a Congress, linked below. This guide serves as a good reminder of how technology is assisting bridge clubs for managing entries (e.g. MyABF), table-scoring devices (e.g. Bridgemates), and scoring software for managing and scoring sessions (e.g. Compscore3).
