Review a congress

Bridge NSW is committed to continuous improvement in our offerings to the Bridge Community in NSW. As part of that we require all clubs conducting congresses to survey congress participants after the congress and to include the results of that survey in a report to Bridge NSW at the conclusion of the congress.

Clubs are welcome to vary the survey. Only two questions are mandatory:

  1. How enjoyable was the congress?
  2. How likely are you to come to the congress next year?

Of course, the survey should not be the only way you review the congress. The Organiser should try to talk to as many participants as possible during, and at the conclusion of, the congress. Clubs should also formally review the congress at a meeting of the Tournament Committee or the Management Committee to identify areas of improvement, or important elements to be retained.

The congress report is also required to include the Congress Organiser’s assessment of the performance of the Director. The current small pool of qualified Congress Directors are expected to perform very well on these surveys. They will, however, play an important part in the development of new Congress Directors and the progression of Congress Directors to higher levels of accreditation.

The Congress Survey and the Congress Report are both provided on the Book a Congress page.
