Seeking new Chair of Tournaments Committee

May 15, 2025

Bridge NSW is looking for a dedicated volunteer to fill the vacant Chair of the Tournaments Committee role.

The inaugural holder of the position was Maurits van der Vlugt. Maurits has worked hard to shape the organisation’s future offerings. Now, he has other commitments requiring his time and is keen to hand over the role to someone equally passionate about making events in NSW a success.

The responsibilities of the Chair of the Tournaments Committee are:

  • Set strategic direction and objectives of the Committee in collaboration with the Bridge NSW board
  • Overall responsibility for Committee operations (including meetings) and membership
  • Allocate tasks and portfolios
  • Annual plan and evaluation
  • Maintaining a diverse and representative EC membership
  • Around 4-6 hours per week

Bridge NSW is looking for someone who plays bridge, and has experience leading communities, supporting volunteers, or with events. These are useful to have but not mandatory.

Come and help drive Bridge NSW’s growth in the state!

Express your interest by emailing office@bridgensw.com.au.
