Bridge NSW organises State Championships annually. Clubs are invited to run some State Championships on its behalf.

- State Novice and Restricted Teams – Illawarra Bridge Association
- State Swiss Pairs – North Shore Bridge Club
- State Daytime Pairs – North Shore Bridge Club

Interstate Team Selection events (ITS)
Each year at the Australian National Championships (ANC), teams from various states and territories of Australia compete against each other over five days of competitive bridge in the Interstate Teams Championship.
In order to select these teams, Australian states run Interstate Team Selection (ITS) events across four separate categories: Open, Women’s, Seniors, and Youth.
Open = all players are eligible
Women’s = all female players are eligible
Seniors = all players turning 65 years of age or older in the current year are eligible
Youth = all players turning 25 years of age or younger in the current year are eligible
