Teaching webinar – 28 January

Great teachers are at the heart of sustainable bridge clubs.

The upcoming and FREE Teach the Teachers webinar will focus on what clubs can do to encourage teachers, help them improve, and make teaching a more rewarding experience.

What the webinar will cover

  • How clubs can encourage teachers and improve retention

  • Why teaching in pairs works well

  • How clubs can support lesson planning and practice to get timing right

  • Keeping lessons simple and avoiding overload

  • Supporting lesson debriefs and reflection so teachers keep improving

  • Encouraging structured recap and review between lessons

Format

Cate MacMillan will make a short presentation, which will be followed by an open discussion and Q&A. The webinar will run for no longer than 45 minutes in total.

Who should attend

We are initially aiming at small clubs who are struggling to get teachers. Also:

  • Club committees

  • Teaching coordinators

  • Club teachers

  • Anyone involved in planning or supporting teaching programs
