Bookkeeper (paid role)

Bridge NSW is in need of a bookkeeper for 8-10 hours per week (sometimes more or less), ideally split over two or three days per week. We are open to engaging the bookkeeper as a contractor or employee. You can be located anywhere in New South Wales.

Working closely with the Treasurer and Executive Officer, the bookkeeper’s primary responsibilities are:

  • the payment of authorised bills
  • issuing of invoices
  • maintenance of the accounts.

You should have:

  • experience with Xero
  • experience with a community or professional association and the operation of bridge clubs, congresses and tournaments will be beneficial
  • The ability to document procedures to ensure the efficient and accurate payment of bills, issuing of invoices, and maintenance of tracking codes to provide various management accounts is desirable.

• Board directors (based on skills)
• Committee members (do you have an interest in education, directing, youth, teaching,
or governance?)
• IT help
• Event and tournament organisers
