Helen Lavings (Treasurer)
- Retired accountant (CPA) specialising in small-to-medium-sized business
- Currently involved in the family’s bridge supplies business; club bridge player for over 20 years
- Actively involved with teaching and supervised play at Illawarra Bridge Association

Jake Andrew (Executive Director)
- ABF Councillor (representing NSW), former Program Manager of NSWBA’s restructure (creating Bridge NSW and Sydney Bridge Club), and former Committee member of North Shore Bridge Club
- Lead on strategy, marketing and communications (website, social media, email campaigns), and office management
- Strategy adviser and coach, mergers and acquisitions, product, customer experience, innovation, and people
- Bridge player since late 2019; tournament player with occasional club sessions

Frank Hardiman
- Retired CFO, company secretary, and director of medium-sized listed public companies
- Fellow of Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants; non-executive director of charity Communities Assist; registered tax agent
- Chair of the Bridge NSW Tournament Committee and member of Bridge NSW Clubs & Communities Committee; plays bridge extensively at both club and congress level

Glenda Parmenter
- Committee member and former President and Secretary of the Armidale Bridge Club; current Chair of the Clubs and Communities Committee at Bridge NSW; extensively involved in the transition from NSWBA to Bridge NSW
- Retired nurse academic with experience in teaching, research, course accreditation and team leadership
- Enjoys working with the entire bridge community; committed to ensuring growth and development to clubs of all types to reach their full potential, such as through the facilitation of Presidents’ Days

Sophie Ashton
- Owner and Director of Goulburn Health Hub, a regional medical centre developed from the ground up and now supporting more than 60 doctors and visiting specialists
- Former quantitative analyst and risk management consultant with Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital in Tokyo, London and Sydney; Bachelor of Applied Mathematics with the University Medal
- ABF Foundation Trustee and accomplished international bridge player, with experience representing Australia in Women’s, Mixed and Open teams and winning several national events

Sharon Thompson (Chair)
- President of North Shore Bridge Club
- Retired with experience as CIO, Product & Marketing Director for a small-to-medium enterprise; extensive experience in project management in telecoms, IT, product launches and website launches
- Learned bridge during COVID and was instantly hooked; very keen to be a better player when she has the time

Bas Bolt
- Current Tournament Coordinator and Congress Convenor of the Sapphire Bridge Club, in the south coast of NSW; previous President of the Tamworth Bridge Club.
- Certified Grade D Club Director
- Aims to maintain and build the bridge community through the expansion of regional club bridge events and congresses

Derrick Browne
- Owner and manager of Trumps Bridge Centre in Mosman
- Bridge teacher, writer, director, administrator, and passionate about writing and offering advice about teaching bridge
- Once an Australian Youth Champion but rarely plays nowadays

Phil Glover
- Retired municipal engineer of 40+ years in country NSW and Victoria
- Enjoys playing bridge and previous extensive involvement with rural bridge clubs’ administrations
- Aims to increase communication between the Council and NSW bridge clubs, and to help resolve any issues brought to Council

Chris Hamam
- Chief Director at Randwick Bridge Club and Coogee Bridge Centre; trains others to direct and organise bridge sessions
- 20+ years experience in IT; sufficiently skilled to assist any bridge club in this digital age
- Wants to see the value of Bridge NSW continue to increase for all clubs and players, and has a passion for growing and developing the youth player base

Mary Anne Loveridge
- Succeeded John Scudder as Chair of NSWBA in November 2023
- Current Chair of Sydney Bridge Club (previously Sydney Bridge Centre, NSWBA)

John McIlrath
- Current Chair of the Directing Committee; life member of North Shore Bridge Club.
- A former National Director for over 25 years; hugely passionate in passing on his invaluable knowledge to future directing personnel
- Has owned and managed bridge clubs, and consistently involved in teaching, directing and all other aspects of club administration for over 35 years

Terry Simmons
- Commenced playing bridge in April 2024 at Easts -Bondi Junction. Elected President 2025 of the EBC. Totally addicted to bridge, playing 5-6 days per week.
- Awarded top 5 players in the 2025 Australia wide Novice Pairs for players under 50 ABF master points and the top 10 players under 100.
- Graduated from UNSW in 1986, with a Bachelor of Building and Project Management. Successfully ran a high-end construction company for 40yrs. Projects including Emirates Airlines First Class Lounge, Sydney Airport, Lamborghini Sydney, State Heritage Listed Building 350 George St
Bridge NSW has an annual call to clubs in February for their nominations to Council. Councillors typically stand for a period of two years. See the constitution and by-laws for more information.
