New calendar is powerful and easy to use

June 15, 2025

Bridge NSW has created a new website calendar to help you find events more easily. It has features not offered anywhere else and links to MyABF when you need it.

On the homepage

The homepage offers you a snapshot of the calendar that is split into “Events coming up” (left) and “In-progress/Recent events” (right).

Looking to play online?

  • The little icons indicate if an event is face-to-face (purple head) or online (green camera).
  • On the full calendar, you can filter by “Mode” to find online or in-person events.

Seeking opponents of a similar level to you?

  • The N, R, I icons indicate events that are for Novice (N), Restricted (R) and Intermediate (I) players. We are the only bridge event calendar in Australia to offer this.

Want more information about an event?

  • Click on the event name (e.g. “Country Team Final”, or “Muriel Waddell Trophy”) for more information.

Want to see how your friends or heroes are going in a live event, or where they finished?

  • Click on the grey “Results” button.

On the calendar page

You can find a full list of live and upcoming events on the calendar page.

Want to quickly find an event that suits you?

  • Use the three red buttons in the top left to search by Host (club, Bridge NSW, ABF, world), Mode (online or in-person), and by Player (Novice, Restricted, Intermediate, Mixed, Women, Youth, Seniors).

Do you like to scan the calendar for events?

  • The icons tell you if an event is hosted by Bridge NSW (red dot) or ABF (yellow dot), if it is online (green camera) or in-person (purple head), and if the event features matches or prizes for Novice (N), Restricted (R) and Intermediate (I) players.

Looking for a full list of events that have already occurred?

  • Click on the “Completed Events” button in the top left.

Can’t find an event but know a little bit about it?

  • Try using the search bar in the top right.

The new calendar supports clubs

  • Improves event promotion and attendance
  • Increases awareness of events for less experienced players
  • Supports the growth of the event playing community

Feedback?

We are always looking to improve the website experience for players.
