Seniors travel far for State Champs

June 5, 2025

For the fifth year running, the Central Coast Leagues Club Bridge Club hosted the State Seniors Championships last week.

The Championships were directed by the Chief Director for New South Wales, Ronnie Ng.

The Pairs event took place on Tuesday and Wednesday with 44 pairs playing 9 x 9 board matches over three sessions. Tournament Organiser, Louis Koolen, reports that nineteen pairs were from the Central Coast. The rest had travelled from Sydney, the Hunter, the Mid North Coast, North Inland and Far South Coast regions.

Pair Chris Dibley and Steven Bock were clear winners, triumphing in eight matches and drawing the other one.
